Verizon intends to install a large cell pole in Brookshire

Verizon plans to install a tall cell pole in the Brookshire neighborhood.  They will be replacing an existing 16’ decorative light pole with a 29’ cell pole.  The City of Woodstock has tried to fight back, but legislation allows the State of Georgia to override the City.  Therefore, if we want to fight this – we must fight from a customer or citizen standpoint. 

Pros – better cell service for Verizon customers

Cons – location is in front and in between two residential homes; the height of this pole at 29’ will not allow for it to blend in but will stand out; neighbors may not be happy to have it installed.

               This will ONLY benefit Verizon and their customers; not the community as a whole.
